TAIPEI, Taiwan, R.O.C., March 28, 2023 – Primax Electronics (TWSE: 4915) today at ISC West announced its new high-precision 3D artificial intelligence (AI) facial recognition smart door lock, WallE-S, based on a highly efficient CVflow® edge AI vision SoC from Ambarella Inc. (NASDAQ: AMBA). WallE-S is a major breakthrough for IoT security, with its enhanced accuracy for AI facial recognition, as well as low power consumption and cutting-edge wireless technology for better battery life.
Using Ambarella's CV25 AI vision SoC and Primax’s best-in-class camera designs, WallE-S is capable of performing all of the AI processing and analytics inside the smart door lock, allowing features such as facial recognition, and 2D and 3D anti-spoofing to happen in real-time, locally, rather than using cloud computation. This low-power, high-performance solution provides a frictionless user experience for the next generations of smart locks with enhanced video security capabilities. WallE-S also takes advantage of the CV25's advanced processing capabilities to run AI algorithms that recognize familiar faces while flagging unknown persons or intruders.
WallE-S is also compatible with the Matter Ecosystem, enabling users to remotely operate it through their mobile devices and increasing accessibility without compromising security. WallE-S is optionally available with preconfigured cloud solutions, offering direct camera-to-cloud connectivity that supports real-time video footage and 2-way audio communications. This smart door lock is designed for easy installation, to replace traditional door locks.
