Taipei, Taiwan—We are excited to introduce our new smart door lock Woody, with integration with Amazon Sidewalk, a secure, free-to-connect community network designed to provide reliable connectivity for billions of devices. Woody is a smart door lock that supports Amazon Sidewalk, enabling users to remotely operate through their mobile devices and increase accessibility with multiple layers of encryption. Woody is designed for easy installation on existing traditional door locks. Powered by two CR123 batteries, Woody offers extended battery life and experience, as customers could enjoy both an increased level of security and convenience. By connecting to Amazon Sidewalk, users can remotely access Woody, and start their smart lock experience, which includes remote status monitoring, remote door lock and unlock, and door event traceability.
Other special features of Woody include a remote access auto-lock function and a privacy mode. In the auto-lock mode, doors will be locked within seconds after it is closed. With the support of AWS IoT Core for Amazon Sidewalk, users will also be notified of the door status, allowing them to lock or unlock remotely through their mobile devices. In privacy mode where users want limited disturbance, remote access functions are disabled, and only physical key access is allowed.
