Primax Reports 2Q26 Financial Results and Business Outlook

 

Primax Electronics (TWSE: 4915) today held an earnings call for the second quarter ended June 30.

 

Key 2Q26 Financial Highlights

  • Revenue was NT$17.2 billion, up 18% YoY and 8.1% QoQ
  • Gross margin was 14.8%, down 1.1 ppt QoQ and 2.7 ppt YoY
  • Operating margin was 3.7%, down 0.6ppt QoQ, and 1.1ppt YoY
  • Net income was NT$580 million, down 3.3% QoQ and 20.9% YoY
  • Earnings per share (EPS) was NT$1.26

 

Primax’s 1H26 consolidated revenue amounted to NT$33.1 billion, up 12.8% YoY. 1H26 gross margin and operating margin were 15.4% and 4%, down 1.9 ppt and 0.9 ppt YoY, respectively. Net income was NT$ 1.18 billion, translating to an EPS of NT$2.55 for the first half of 2026.

For 2Q26 revenue breakdown, Information Products, Smart Lifestyle, and Auto/AIoT accounted for 44%, 25%, and 31% of total revenue, respectively. Over the medium to long term, the Company will continue to advance its development in AIoT, AI surveillance, robotic and automotive applications to capitalized on growth opportunities across emerging use cases.

YY Hsiao, General Manager and CFO of Primax, stated, “Revenue maintained solid growth in 2Q26, thanks to strong consumer audio new projects ramp and professional audio projects contributions. However, RMB appreciations, rising component costs, and product mix shifts continued to weigh on gross margin. In response to cost volatility, Primax is improving operating efficiency, actively negotiating price adjustments with customers, and strengthening procurement and supply chain management to mitigate cost and foreign exchange fluctuations and enhance business resilience.”

Primax is advancing its AI Sensor Fusion (AISF) core capabilities by integrating multi-sensing technologies, including vision, acoustics, and interfaces, in addition, integrating edge computing to further strengthen its system integration capabilities. The Company plans to participate in Automation Taipei 2026 from August 19 to 22, where it will showcase solutions for autonomous delivery robots, intelligent visual inspection, and noise detection. These solutions enable equipment to perceive its surroundings, detect abnormalities, and respond in real time, thereby improving production efficiency, quality management, and predictive maintenance capabilities.

Looking ahead to 3Q26, as end-market demand and supply chain conditions remain challenging. Primax will adopt a prudent approach and closely monitor market developments while continuing to improve operating efficiency and supply chain flexibility to maintain stable operations. As demand for AIoT, smart manufacturing, and robotics applications continues to grow, the Company will accelerate product development and market adoption of key modules and integrated solutions, laying a solid foundation for future growth.
