January consolidated revenues were $7.18 billion

Primax Electronics (4915 TT/ 4915.TW) announced today NT$7.18 billion in consolidated revenues for the month of January. This represented a 21% increase on the NT$5.92 billion in December and was also 35% higher than the NT$5.31 billion from the same period last year (2020).
Primax’s consolidated revenues grew strongly in January due to strong demand in its three main product lines:
Smart interface devices: Demand for PC peripherals and eSports products due to working from home continues to remain strong; Vision: Smartphone camera modules and autotronics ADAS (sensor camera modules used in electric vehicles and Advanced Driver Assist Systems) also grew at a much faster rate than anticipated; Acoustics: Stronger-than-expected demand from home entertainment and audio systems all served to boost revenue growth and new deliveries.

According to Primax, the company expects to continue benefiting from an optimization of its product portfolio and remains confident on continued profit growth.
Key product lines: Demand for interface devices relating to working from home and eSports continues to grow strongly and will provide the Company with a solid base of profits. Autotronics (sensor camera modules used in electric vehicles and Advanced Driver Assist Systems) are expected to grow several-fold due to strong growth in American EV makers as well. Acoustics products will continue to increase its proportion of premium products and optimize its customer base. Profits should therefore rebound significantly compared to last year. Commercial and industrial applications for IoT (fleet management and law enforcement camera modules) and smart homes (smart locks and door bells) will begin making a contribution as well and generate a new wave of growth for Primax in the future.
