Primax Continues to Support Charities during COVID-19

The domestic COVID-19 situation is easing but the economic impacts of the pandemic is continuing to bite. Disadvantaged families in particular continue to be affected. Some parents are unable to find casual work and have no income; some parents are too busy making ends meet to worry about epidemic prevention and their lack of understanding puts their entire family at risk.

Our charity partner House of Dreams has been serving the Wanhua region and supporting disadvantaged urban youths for 13 years. The “Close to Love” fund-raising event asked people to donate "epidemic prevention supply bags" and "epidemic prevention guides" for disadvantaged families. These were then delivered through zero-contact logistics to deliver charity where it is needed and improve epidemic prevention at home.

Primax promoted the fund-raiser within the company and assisted with the fund-raising drive. The planned quota of 180 epidemic prevention supply bags was met with an outpouring of support from Primax employees and the target was reached within 24 hours ahead of the schedule. Families hard-hit by COVID-19 received heart-warming support. At the same time, Primax had planned to distribute 3D masks to employees. Due to a decrease in demand thanks to the improved COVID-19 situation, we decided to donate the masks to people that need it more. Syin-Lu Foundation and Taipei Da-Tong Developmental Center were each sent 500 masks to ensure that social workers have the medical supplies they need to assist the handicapped.
